Adding this supplement to your horse’s diet will bring in a boost of biotin, which has been shown through research to improve hoof quality. Tough As Nails also increases your horse’s intake of sulfur containing amino acids to help improve hoof growth and provides them with additional calcium, which is involved in the cross-linking of hoof proteins. Added organic trace minerals are used for their increased bioavailability over inorganic sources and compared to similar products, Tough As Nails supplies a higher concentration of iodine, which can act as an anti-fungal agent, and we find this is especially helpful for horses with White Line Disease or persistent Thrush.
